SER Learning Academy & SER YouthBuild Learning Academy
VOCATIONAL PLACEMENT
The SER YouthBuild Construction institute (SYCI) is a national program funded by the US Department of Labor. SYCI empowers low-income individuals, ages 18-24, to transform their lives by providing educational, leadership development, and civic engagement opportunities, along with hands-on training. SYCI assists young individuals to become stewards of their community by pursuing achievable goals to build a productive life.
The YouthBuild program offers certification in two fields: construction and patient care.
Our training takes place on-site at our west campus (Stecker Building) and in real-world situations where learners will gain vital job skills to meet the growing need for a highly trained patient care workforce in the state of Michigan.
