JOB PLACEMENT
SER YouthBuild Learning Academy provides job placement assistance to youth ages 16 – 21 through Detroit at Work for those who are working on or have already completed their educational goals and are ready to begin their careers.
Detroit at Work gives jobseekers the opportunity to search and apply for positions directly from their website. Career advisors are available on-site to provide assistance.
The SER YouthBuild Construction Institute (SYCI) is a national program funded by the US Department of Labor. SYCI empowers low-income individuals, ages 18-21, to transform their lives by providing educational, leadership development, and civic engagement opportunities, along with hands-on training. SYCI assists young individuals to become stewards of their community by pursuing achievable goals to build a productive life.
Before you apply, take advantage of the resume building, job readiness, and support services programs offered at SER Learning Academy.

- Writing a resume.
- Transportation
- Training
Training programs are free to Detroiters who qualify. Speak with your career advisor about what program may be right for you or email info@SERLearningAcademy.org to be matched with a career advisor and receive additional details about the program.
